Unable to ingest XLS generated by Salesforce

I created a detail dump of a salesforce report that I would like to Wrangle. Unfortunately it always fails with the error " Error: invalid file format "

The file loads just fine when I open it with Excel

Salesforce does not generate a proper XLS file, it is essentially a renamed HTML file. When you open the Salesforce generated file with a text editor, you can see the actual HTML code.

When you open the file with Excel, it ingests the content.

That said, the workaround would be to save the file as XLS, XLSX or CSV.

The file will be in proper format and can be ingested properly by Trifacta.

Thanks @Sebastian Cyris? , this always gave me a headache :)

Hopefully we'll be able to import HTML files soon. Is there a workaround to load HTML, just wrangling HTML tags is not straight forward
