Whenever I try to import a data set (from Bigquery for example) it gives me this error: "Requested Data Was Not Found" I am using native Bigquery tables, these very same tables I have been able to import and wrangle successfully in the past. Any ideas?

Hi Raz,

Can you access the same data from BigQuery ( https://bigquery.cloud.google.com ) and run a sample sql against it ?

Where does the second error comes in ? This references GCS, a storage data set. If both, storage and BQ, worked in the past and now are failing to access the underlying data, there may be a change in permission.

Looking at https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/troubleshooting-errors , the 400 error indicates this may be external data.

I would also like to propose as a first step importing manually a CSV into Data prep to validate that overall Dataprep in-itself is properly working for your account.

Let me know if that works.

Hey Sebastian, thanks for your reply.

As you mentioned, it was an issue with GCS storage.

In short, it was an issue with GCS storage location set for the Upload directory, Job Run Directory and Temp Directory.... they were all paths which didn't exist becasue I probably deleted them in the past. I just set new Path Directories and all worked... silly issue and the error message could have been clearer! Thanks for your help.

Thanks Raz, good to know.

In case others run into this issue, the profile settings can be changed in the user profile page. See https://cloud.google.com/dataprep/docs/html/User-Profile-Page_57344911

An easy way to test is to create new target directories. Since they would be created through your account, you have automatically the right permissions
