Welcome to the 2023 Spooktacular Halloween Festival! Every year for the last six, the Community team has hosted a Halloween hunt to celebrate the season. This year, however, we’d thought it would be fun if we brought along some of our scarily fantastic friends to make it a full festival.
Complete activities around the Community and Mission Control to gain points towards the frightfully cute 2023 Halloween badge. Dress up your avatar, hunt down aliens, startle away ghosts, and listen to our hauntingly fun podcast as we spend the next week celebrating the season in style!

Community Costume Party – Dress up your avatar in style with one of our 14 pre-made costume PNGs here to celebrate the spooky season in proper fashion. Share with friends and coworkers alike your superior Halloween costume by showing off your avatar on the Community and around the internet!
Specter Scavenger Hunt – Maveryx Community is haunted! Help us by finding and reporting these spooky specter sightings so the Community team can startle away these ghosts for another year. There are six frights hidden around the Community, so be sure to check out every area in detail to find them all! Report your findings in this thread.
Spooky Certification of Sorcery and Spells – How well do you know tricks that scare us out of our skin in movie theaters or treats that rot our teeth? Test your Halloween and Designer knowledge in these three spooky, scary certifications. Win stickers and bragging rights for besting our haunted beginner, advanced, and expert exams! lf you're feeling brave after you've aced these, move on to one of the Designer certifications (find prep guides here)!
Save Mission Control! Scavenger Hunt – Aliens have overtaken Mission Control! Explore this new otherworldly site, then find and blast these otherworldly intruders to save Mission Control.
Happy Halloween Alteryx IO Custom Tool Activity – In this Halloween-themed challenge, you will utilize the Alteryx Platform SDK and CLI to create a mysterious and spooky message output. Your goal is to generate a custom tool that can display a message that is both fun and eerie in Designer Desktop.
SparkED Candy Chaos – Calling all data detectives and candy connoisseurs! Every year, trick-or-treaters collect a mixed bag of Halloween treasures, from Skittles to peanut butter cups and even dental items and baseball cards. Join Alteryx SparkED for this spooktacular challenge as we analyze the ratings of these Halloween goodies. Discover the hidden gems, the 'meh' moments, and maybe even a few sweet surprises in the world of Halloween candy!
Alter Everything Podcast Halloween Episode – Does thinking about AI and its many applications (and unintended consequences) have you feeling… scared?
